Students and Teachers Take Time Out for a Picture SHALOM and WELCOME!!
For over three years now, our morot (teachers) and I have been providing outstanding Judaic education within a lively learning environment centered around the following subjects...
- Hebrew 101 - We use a variety of books including "Derech Bina" ("The Way of Enlightenment") and "Ba'al Peh Ve'bichtav" ("Hebrew Speaking and Writing")...as well as many fun educational games.
- Holidays - Each holiday is taught in an interactive and thought-provoking way. Our text book is: "Understanding Jewish Holidays and Customs".
- Israel - Using the book "Welcome to Israel", we cover "Ahavat-Yisrael" (Love of Israel), "Kesher-L'Yisrael" (maintaining good ties with the Holy Land); as well as: knowing the culture, traditions, history and geography of Israel.
- Torah - Under this subject, we learn about our ancestors, about the laws that were commanded, the mitzvot, and the amazing stories with great values that we can learn from and take into our modern way of life!
Indeed, learning about who we are as Jews is a must...and my staff and I eagerly look forward to the enjoyment of teaching your children in our 2010/2011 semesters!!

Letter at the End of the 2009/2010 First-Semester...
December 23, 2009
On Friday, December 18th, the staff and children of TBI's Religious Studies Program celebrated Hanukkah and the end of a very productive first semester.
As their parents watched, the kids acted out a wonderful play about the story of Hanukkah and the holiday's meaning. Then, all eight candles for Hanukkah's last night were lit; we sang songs; had an activity where the students created their very own Hanukkiot out of candy; and, finally, finished off our celebration with an enjoyable dinner together.
Although we are currently on a short winter-break, we are looking forward to an equally great second semester!
At this time, I also offer a special "todah" to: the children and their parents...to our teachers, Morot Sonya and Judy...and to Rabbi Bater -- for all of their efforts and support. Thank you all so much for partaking in this wonderful, educational, and fun studies program that I've had the honor of directing for the past three years!!
